Application for Admission

Georgia College & State University aims to produce graduates who are well prepared for careers or advanced study and who are instilled with exceptional qualities of mind and character.

As the state's designated public liberal arts university, Georgia College is committed to combining the educational experiences typical of esteemed private liberal arts colleges with the affordability of public higher education. GCSU is a residential learning community that emphasizes undergraduate education and offers selected graduate programs.   • Electronic application submission is preferred.
  • Students who do not attend the term for which they apply may update their application within one year by using the update form.
  • Students who applied more than one year ago, but did not enroll, must submit a new application and all supporting documents.

International Applicants
International student applicants are invited to go directly to the GCSU International Student website for information, admission requirements and application forms and documents. International students should not complete or submit this online application for admission since this application is for U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.

Application Processing Fee

A nonrefundable $35 application processing fee is required of:

  • All first-time applicants (freshmen and transfer)
  • Applicants who applied (or were enrolled) more than six years ago

No application processing fee is required of:

  • Former GC students enrolled within the past six years
  • Applicants aged 62 and above
  • Applicants who applied and paid the application fee less than six years ago but never enrolled

Official Supporting Documents

  • All high school transcripts and test scores must be sent directly from the high school or testing center to the GCSU Office of Admissions, Campus Box 023, Milledgeville, GA 31061. Fax documents and copies provided by the student are not considered official and will not be considered for admission purposes.
  • College transcripts must be sent directly from each and every college attended to the GCSU Office of Admissions at CBX 023, Milledgeville, GA 31061. Fax documents and copies provided by the student are not considered official and will not be used for admission purposes. Courses from one institution that are listed on another college transcript will not substitute for an official transcript. Prior educational experience may not be omitted from an application package.
