Interested students are encouraged to speak with their high school guidance counselor for more information and to complete the application process.
Transfer applicants with 30 or more semester transferable hours completed will be evaluated on the basis of their academic performance and potential for completing the requirements for the desired degree. Those with less than 30 semester transferable hours completed at their previous institution will be required to submit a high school transcript.
Transient applicants (a student who expects to return to their college or university where they are presently enrolled) must present from the registrar of the institution (presently attending) a statement recommending admission as a transient student.
Nontraditional applicants are individuals who have not attended college, have either graduated high school or earned a GED, and whose high school class graduated at least 5 years previously. Nontraditional applicants must submit proof of graduation or any attendance of high school by submitting an official high school transcript and/or submit proof of satisfied completion of the requirements for the General Education Development (GED) Equivalency Certificate by submitting a copy of their scores. Applicants will also be required to meet minimum scores on the Compass test. Students may require placement in learning support courses to sharpen collegiate skills.
International applicants are evaluated on the basis of their demonstrated academic performance. Several submissions are required to properly evaluate academic performance in a foreign country, as well as satisfy immigration requirements.
Students who have already earned a degree from an accredited college or university and wish to earn a secondary degree from EGSC should choose this option. Evaluation will be based on past academic college-level performance.
Students who have earned hours at East Georgia State College in the past, and wish to return to EGSC, should choose this option.
